Cluster overview
Summarize pod health, workload mix, node usage, events, and diagnosis status without leaving the workspace.
Local-first Kubernetes diagnostics for macOS
Hound K8s brings cluster inspection, evidence-based diagnostics, YAML workflows, logs, port forwarding, pod shell, and trace graph analysis into a focused Mac app.
Overview
Hound K8s is designed for DevOps engineers, SREs, platform teams, and developers who need a fast way to inspect resources and reason about runtime state.
Summarize pod health, workload mix, node usage, events, and diagnosis status without leaving the workspace.
Browse Pods, Deployments, ReplicaSets, Services, Ingresses, ConfigMaps, Secrets, PVCs, Nodes, and RBAC resources.
Select a resource and see status, ownership, events, YAML, related objects, and supported actions in one place.
Diagnostics
Hound combines Kubernetes status, events, ownership, resource references, logs, and relationship context to explain failures conservatively. It avoids promoting weak or unrelated signals into a root cause.
Resource Workspace
Filter resources, inspect live status, switch cluster context, review ownership, and keep the selected resource details visible while you work.
Trace Graph
Trace Graph visualizes how an Ingress reaches a Service, how EndpointSlices publish Pods, which controllers own those Pods, and where Secrets, ConfigMaps, PVCs, PVs, StorageClasses, and Nodes fit into the runtime path.
Local-first
Hound does not require a hosted backend, a vendor account, or AI diagnosis to provide value. It works with local kubeconfig files and includes built-in AWS EKS connection support.
Cluster inspection and diagnosis run locally on your Mac.
Secret nodes can be referenced for diagnostics without exposing secret values.
Core flows use built-in app behavior instead of depending on unmanaged shell plugins.
Built-in AWS connection support is available for EKS workflows.
Pricing
Hound K8s uses App Store in-app purchases: a 14-day full-feature trial and a one-time lifetime unlock. Launch pricing is planned at US$19.99 for early adopters.
One-time purchase through the App Store after the 14-day trial.
